Science - Photosynthesis

In science we also learnt about photosynthesis!

What is photosynthesis? - Photosynthesis is a process that plants use, they do this to collect energy from the sunlight!

What are the substances required?  - Google definition - During this reaction, carbon dioxide and water are converted into glucose and oxygen. The reaction requires light energy, which is absorbed by a green substance called chlorophyll. Photosynthesis takes place in leaf cells. These contain chloroplasts, which are tiny objects containing chlorophyll.

What is the chemical equation for it? -  6CO2 + 6H2O + light energy = C6H12O6 + 6O2.

What is the word equation for it? - Carbon dioxide + water --- Carbohydrate + oxygen + Energy = photosynthesis

Substance formed? - Google definition - During this reaction, carbon dioxide and water are converted into glucose and oxygen. The reaction requires light energy, which is absorbed by a green substance called chlorophyll. ... The stored starch can later be turned back into glucose and used in respiration. Oxygen is released as a by-product of photosynthesis.
